HYDERABAD: Police on Friday arrested three persons including a teacher for their alleged involvement in leaking papers during the ongoing intermediate examination.
Hyderabad Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education officials told Hum News that board officials noticed the name of a computer operator — hired by the board contractor for printing papers — on the leaked zoology paper on Friday and they held him with the help of the police.
During the investigation, the computer operator divulged the names the teacher and the watchman with whom he would leak papers to the students well before the examination timing. The police also arrested the teacher and the watchman and recovered mobile phones and tablets they used for leaking papers.
Sources said that the arrested teacher was involved in supplying leaked papers to the girl students at a school in Paka Qila.
Sources told Hum News that the Hyderabad board has engaged the same contractor for printing papers for the last many years.
Over 0.2 million students are currently appearing in the examination under the Hyderabad board in two shifts. The board officials, however, have failed to stop papers from being leaked at the hands of scrupulous elements.
The ongoing intermediate exams across Sindh including Karachi and Sukkar have been marred by unceasing leakage of papers mostly on WhatsApp messaging service by the all-pervading cheating mafia.
